The ‘Beehive’ concept combines studios and offices in one building. In the centre of the volume is the studio complex with the annex rooms and offices wrapped around as rings stacked on top of each other. This creates a spacious atrium above the roof of the complex which functions as a lobby and event space. In order to gain access, views and light, the rings are modified in various places. These modifications also give the building identity, turning it into an impressive object on the skyline of Zurich-Leutschenbach.
