492.4 Villa Roccabruna, Bar & Bistro
Located in the picturesque village of Blevio, the Mandarin Oriental Lago di Como comprises an ensemble of buildings situated within lush gardens, with the historic Villa Roccabruna at its center. Our collaboration began with the design of a floating outdoor pool, the adjacent Nami Café, and the redesign of the spa facilities. Our second intervention is a careful, sensitive refurbishment of Villa Roccabruna’s ground floor that harmonizes guest flow, enhances historical details and restores lost historic fabric while improving back-of-house functionality. Dating to the 18th century, the Villa has undergone numerous renovations over the years, all the while preserving a large portion of its rich interiors and elegant character. Grandly positioned on a lakefront promenade, it welcomes guests into generously proportioned, richly decorated reception rooms overlooking Lake Como. The Villa houses a handful of special suites, includes a bistro and bar, and serves as the reception for the spa and floating outdoor pool.
