Opened in 2001, the Museum der Phantasie is a modern art museum dedicated to the eclectic collections of Lothar-Günther Buchheim. A painter, photographer, publisher, and author, Buchheim spent his life amassing a diverse collection—from Expressionist paintings and prints to a wide array of curiosities. The museum was created to unite these works under one roof.
