We designed a sports facility adjacent to the cultural complex “Seseragi Hall”(2020) in Denenchofu Seseragi Park, located on the unique topography of the Kokubunji cliff line —a river terrace formed by the Tamagawa River. To integrate the sports facility, which requires a high ceiling, we introduced a transitional space called a “geya,” extending into the park; a lower-roofed area at the front housing various functions.
