As China’s leading digital economy centre and permanent host city of the Global Digital Trade Expo, the project builds on the strengths of this prime location while combining Hangzhou’s advanced digital infrastructure and innovation capabilities to establish a new global hub that will accelerate high-quality urban growth. The project implements an innovative development approach that merges the exhibition economy with both cultural tourism and digital trade. Its industrial framework concentrates on four key sectors: convention and exhibition services, digital content creation, cross-border e-commerce, and digital services, creating a complete digital trade innovation environment that positions the area as a global pioneer in digital trade advancement. The urban design reimagines digital trade spaces as vibrant innovation centres through several transformative concepts.
