Envisioned as a “hospital in a garden,” the 500-bed Jiahui International Hospital—one of Shanghai’s first private hospitals—features a large, park-like central courtyard with trees, shrubbery, grasses and pathways at the heart of the project, promoting patient healing and giving the campus a true sense of place.
