We designed a café in “Open Field” (everyone’s field), a vast open field located within Showa Kinen Park in Tachikawa City—one that connects people to the earth. Along the edge of this largest lawn area in the park, Open Field, the ground itself seems to rise up to form the building, creating a quiet, shade-filled retreat beneath the lifted landscape.
