Rosentalturm
The Messe Platz neighborhood, a notable district in Basel, is home to the convention center, life science industry, and ongoing developments near the Badischer Bahnhof. The Rosentalturm project aims to enhance this neighborhood’s ties with local residences, businesses, and green recreational spaces, with a strong emphasis on social and ecological sustainability. The strategic positioning of a mixed-use tower at Messeplatz and a longitudinal building along Riehenstrasse creates an urban green space between the two new buildings. This green space enlarges the Rosentalpark, a park that has been continuously reduced in size over many decades. By expanding the park again, we are adding a new phase to the ongoing story of this active city space and its changing uses throughout the year. Mixed Use Over 400 flats will provide a wide variety of living arrangements for singles, couples, families and flat-sharing communities, ensuring a sustainable, socially diverse and intergenerational mix; approximately 74 apartments with 3.5 to 5.5 rooms are planned at cost-based rent.
