Adjacent to McDonough Arena, Georgetown Athletics’ new John R. Thompson Jr. training facility is home to the men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s lacrosse and football programs. The 136,000-square-foot, three-story facility creates a front door for athletics and provides strength training and athletic training for all student-athletes. It includes new practice courts, locker rooms, team meeting rooms, a student academic center, auditorium, lounge areas and coaches’ offices. A linear glass link to McDonough Arena was designed to achieve LEED Gold certification.
