Tottenham Hotspur commissioned us to design a masterplan for a new, state-of-the-art stadium that would welcome more than 60,000 fans and visitors on match day and provide offices and facilities for the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation. The brief also included plans for a club museum, a shop, 200 new homes, a hotel, a supermarket and a major new public space. The club was looking for more than a new place to play – it wanted to spark local regeneration, attract investment to the area and offer new benefits to the community.
