The new hospital wing for children, teens and expecting families at Rigshospitalet, will accommodate up to 900 patients as well as 1,200 doctors, nurses and other staff members. The hospital emphasizes the power of play as an integral part of medical treatment and the scheme for the building takes the form of two hands grasping together to support the various aspects of paediatric care. The project is estimated to cost approximately $350 million.
