FJBS Interior
Known for their work across multiple real estate sectors, developer Fukuoka Jisho’s FJ Business Solutions workplace marks the start of a defined aesthetic for the company’s future divisions. The space is situated on the 12th floor in an office building in Hakata, Fukuoka, Japan, and adopts architectural, ‘town-square’ thinking in an office environment. The design concept is marked by the key themes of connectivity, nature, familiarity, and identity. Taking learnings from in-house behavioural design research by 3XN/GXN, the spaces play with tactility, material massing, and consistency. The interior is designed to stimulate the senses and creates moments for different kinds of engagement across the space. Underpinned by colour theory, multisensorial design, and biophilia, the open workplace is engaging, flexible, and designed to foster a strong culture of teamwork.
