Mälardalen University in Eskilstuna connects the industrial city of yesterday to today’s modern city of knowledge. The project encompasses a new building as well as a transformation of a listed public bath from 1932, located within a historic district by the river. With public functions, such as a library, open study areas, auditorium, café, and exhibition hall, Mälardalen University is designed from the ambition of creating a centre of science and a landmark for the city.
